Personal Care Services Closed
Hey Nanaimo!
It’s been two weeks now since we closed our doors due to the COVID-19 crisis. The decision was difficult, but necessary. We felt a lot of solidarity with our neighbours that day, as both Bella Nails and Departure Bay Aromatherapy made the same call as we did.
On March 21st, the Province made it official, ordering all personal care services in British Columbia to close. This is a tough industry right now, so make sure you let your massage therapist, tattoo artist, nail tech and hair stylist know how much you miss ’em!
On our end, we have received an overwhelming amount of comments, DM’s, texts and emails, so thank you for all of your support!
Good Vibes Only
Although the last two weeks have been tough from a work standpoint, there have been some silver linings. We’ve been putting in extra effort to connect virtually with friends and family, and Elle is enjoying the extra walks and outdoor time.
We have also been loving the creativity and ingenuity everyone has been showing off online. Especially you parents! Seriously! The crafts, pillow forts and beach walks we’ve seen amidst this chaos are all pretty damn impressive.

We only have two humans in our household, and this self-isolation thing has not been a walk in the park! We have major respect for our friends and clients who have a house full of kiddos right now. You guys are the real MVP’s! If you’ve gotten sick of Netflix, homemade slime and baking, here’s a little craft project for your ankle biters.

On a more serious note, we have really appreciated everyone who has reached out asking what they can do during our closure to help out.
During these uncertain times, we don’t want anyone to feel pressure to spend. We’ve heard from so many clients about layoffs and “indefinite” leaves from work, we know these times are tough!
