COVID-19 Policies and procedures
In accordance with the protocols set by WorkSafe BC, we have developed the following safety plan to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
The policies and procedures listed below apply to every staff member, client and visitor of Heavy D’s Barbershop. We reserve the right to refuse service to those who do not comply with our COVID-19 protocols.
Please read prior to your appointment:
Please cancel or reschedule your appointment if you, or any member of your household, are experiencing the following symptoms: fever, chills, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and new muscle aches or headache.
Even if you have received a negative COVID test, PLEASE DO NOT come to your appointment if you have any of the above symptoms. If we catch a regular old cold, we cannot work.
Arrive on time and alone for your appointment: Our waiting room space is limited, but we have additional seating available outside. Some clients prefer to wait in their vehicles, so we encourage you to wait wherever you are most comfortable.
Masks are no longer required: Effective March 11, 2022, masks are no longer mandatory in indoor public spaces in British Columbia. If you would like your Barber to wear one though, please ask! We will continue to provide complimentary masks to those who request one. If you are bringing one from home, please ensure it loops behind the ears similar to the mask pictured here.
Sanitize your hands: We have hand sanitizer available in the reception area, and request that you use it immediately upon entering the shop.
Retail purchases can be made over the phone: We are happy to arrange curbside pickup for retail purchases.
Contact info is required to book: Your name, along with a phone number is required to book. We must be able to provide contact information in the event contact tracing is required. Don’t worry, we will never use your info to send promotional materials.
Please be patient: We sanitize our stations in-between clients. Please be kind if we require extra time to clean.
Pay with a card: Contactless payments are preferred.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we have navigated this pandemic over the past two years.
